The Sidubara story

So what does “Sidubara” mean?

The name Sidubara comes from a dialect expression used by Swedish-speaking Finns. “Sidu” is a playful twist on “ser du?”, i.e. “you see?”, and “bara” simply means just. Together, “sidubara” is used as a light, positive response to realising something, like a spark of clarity.

That’s exactly what we aim to deliver through our work: “You see? Exactly. Just that. Sidubara.”

Who’s behind Sidubara?

I’m Lotta Holm, the founder of Sidubara Consulting, a Finland-based advisor working at the intersection of business, data, and strategy. I’ve always been curious about how things work beneath the surface. What drives behaviour? What patterns emerge in the numbers? What information are we not seeing — yet?

Over time, that curiosity became a profession. I now help organisations use their data not just to analyse the past, but to make smarter decisions going forward. My work is about building understanding, supporting leadership, and helping teams put data to work where it matters most.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to patterns, stories, and the logic hidden in data. I founded Sidubara Consulting to help organisations make sense of the information around them, not just through numbers, but through meaning.

My goal is to make data truly useful: not buried in reports, but guiding decisions. I help clients cut through complexity, see the bigger picture, and gain clarity in moments that matter, especially at the strategic level.

I bring a balance of analytical insight and practical thinking, working collaboratively to turn information into action and uncertainty into direction.
